Welcome, I’m Luke. After earning my MA in Political Science, I left academia due to intellectual conformity and polarization. Now I offer thoughtful commentary that bridges faith and reason without tribal warfare.
The Western political landscape has devolved into tribal warfare, where faith is either weaponized for partisan gain or dismissed as irrelevant to governance. I reject both extremes, and contend that our political dysfunction is merely a symptom of a deeper crisis, temporarily masked by the bandaid of pseudo-religious identities (political and otherwise) and hedonistic pursuits.
We face an unprecedented crisis of meaning. The fragmentation of our global system, widespread immigration, our explosion of knowledge, the decline of religious thought, and the rise of hedonistic capitalism have collectively undermined the shared foundations that once gave our civilization coherence and purpose.
My journey led me from academic political science—where I earned my Master’s degree dreaming of becoming a professor—to stepping away from academia entirely. I couldn’t tolerate the divisiveness, intellectual conformity, and censorship that poisoned daily discourse. That experience taught me that we desperately need a different approach.
Today’s polarized world demands voices that avoid shallow partisan ties while maintaining our cultural foundations. We need an approach that draws from the deep wells of Christian wisdom while respecting our pluralistic democracy. We need voices that bridge rather than burn, that build rather than tear down and alienate.
